Drone video of the Shores park and cove
during May’s high water event.
Many days of rainfall in NE Oklahoma and up north in Kansas resulted in massive amount of water flowing into Grand Lake. Lake levels rose, and our cove saw lake water come all the way up to our park wall, making docks inaccessible, and our lighthouse partially swallowed up by the lake.
Once the winds died down, Tim Lail took his drone out to have a look araound. Here is the video that he captured on May 10th, showing how high the water levels were, and giving us a unique bird’s-eye perspective of the park and cove in high water.
Thanks, Tim, for the gorgeous views!
