February WSPOA meeting cancelled.
Due to winter storm, the February meeting of the WSPOA Board of Directors scheduled for Saturday, February 5th has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will take place at 9am on March 5th.
This winter weather cancellation made me wonder if there would be any interest in making remote meeting attendance (via the internet) possible in some form or fashion. The only two methods I’m familiar with are Zoom meetings and FaceBook Live broadcasts, but there are probably other options.

This is just an informal discussion. I’ve no idea if the Board has already considered this matter or not, but it sure would be helpful to those who can’t otherwise attend meetings; giving all property owners opportunity to stay informed, and maximizing participation in policy discussion and decision making.
There are several questions that come to mind immediately when I think about the idea:

- Does the community center have internet service?
- Are we talking about fully functional meetings where viewers interact using chat or cam?
- Or is a much simpler spectate- only broadcast without interaction the way to go?
- Who would run this little project so that the board doesn’t have another task heaped upon them?
Lots of questions, for sure. But it’s an idea very much worth considering. I think an online component to meetings would be a real service to property owners. What do you think? Scroll down to the comment box and let us know.
