Donations toward recent WSPOA-led projects.
WSPOA President Mike Bevens asked us to publish his working spreadsheets detailing the donations made to pay for two recent WSPOA-led projects; the replacement of neighborhood street signs and the recent asphalt overlay of the road that leads from McLaughlin Cemetery to the Woodland Shores sign at the entrance to our neighborhood. Click on the links (underlined and in blue) to view the spreadsheets. It’s important to note that these projects were funded entirely by donations. The WSPOA Board did coordinate — and solicit donations — for both projects, but payment for these jobs was not made from WSPOA coffers.
We didn’t live here when the street sign project was in play. When we moved to Woodland Shores the gorgeous new signs were already in place. But I have heard how hard community members worked to get signs purchased and installed. There is a lot of good that can come from neighbors working together for the betterment of the community. I see it every day in our neighborhood. People are paying attention, and taking care of each other. We’ve got a really good thing going here in Woodland Shores. A great big thanks to all who participated in these projects, either by donation or physical labor, or both!
