About Lisa Morgan

I moved to Woodland Shores from south Texas in early 2021 with my husband, our two kids, and our dog. We may not have lived in the The Shores for long, but this very special place already feels more like home to me than any other place on Earth.

Mystery swirling in night sky over Woodland Shores!

Mystery swirling in night sky over Woodland Shores! Wow!! Did anyone else catch that crazy sight in the night sky tonight around 7pm? We were just arriving home and when we got out of the car we were STUNNED to see a sight that was like something out of a Sci-Fi space series. From our viewpoint near the Woodland Shores entrance sign, looking toward the north, about 45 degrees above the horizon was a HUGE swirl looking [...]

Doing what we can, when we can.

Doing what we can, when we can. I really do enjoy the Woodland Shores community cove. It's obvious that the WSPOA BoD and many, many community volunteers have worked hard to make a beautiful, comfortable, convenient space for Shores property owners and their guests to enjoy. I like to go out to the water and walk along the rocky shore. There is just so much to see while strolling. Birds, clouds, waves, boats, rocks, driftwood, and... [...]

Woodland Shores in the Snow.

Woodland Shores in the Snow. This is our first winter in northeast Oklahoma and we're finding January to be a time of peace and quiet in Woodland Shores. Trees are bare, vegetation is dormant, and the lake is mostly free of boat traffic. Furry and flying creatures are much easier to observe, and creepy crawly slithery critters are nowhere to be seen. Lake life in January is definitely different -- but just as enjoyable. [...]

Click on the links (underlined and in blue) to view the spreadsheets. It's important to [...]

“Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you???”

Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you??? Owls calling to each other in the woods of Woodland Shores is one of my most loved sounds. And the Barred Owl is my most favorite of all. No maatter what I'm doing, inside the house or out in the yard, when I hear owls start to call to each other I stop and look and listen in reverence. It's an awesome sound. Sometimes I [...]
