Who do we have to thank for the little library in the Park?

I don’t know who is responsible for this neat little library in the park (across from the community center) but I’d like for them to know how much enjoyment I’ve received from it. There is always something interesting, entertaining, or inspiring to read, and the last time we stopped by someone had left a box of crayons, as well.

I’m thinking about buying a few little needlework kits and puzzles to add to the offerings, but I don’t know who to talk to about adding that kind of donation to the library. If you know who I should talk to, please let me know. I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes!

It’s great to live in a place where little libraries are so well cared for and maintained. Big thanks to our neighborhood librarian, whoever you are!

[Edit: Not long after this post was published I received the following comment from Jan Zaloudek that explains how the little free library in the Woodland Shores park came to be. I love this kind of community-building project. Huge thanks to Jan and Joe for making it happen!]

The free library has been an answer to one of my goals.—sharing books, encouraging reading, and offering a convenient way to foster the love of reading. My husband, Joe, , built the library and we were granted permission from the board to install it permanently. It has been a successful endeavor for 9 years.Watching it evolve into a meaningful place for those of all ages has definitely been a thrill for me. The community has participated in reading, sharing, and enjoying in a very inspiring way. Joe and I check on it every week, and appreciate the help from others in keeping it in shape. Thanks to everyone who actively takes part!!
Let’s keep reading!!
